One of our national jewels  which is a must see for every family vacation is Yosemite national Park.
Making arrangements through Yosemite National Park reservations is easy and convenient and gives you several types of accommodations to pick from. This includes tent or camper site camping, cabins, the famous canvas tent accommodations, or you can treat yourself to  4 star accommodations at the Ahwahnee Hotel.

We chose the rustic Canvas Tent accommodations which provide beds, electricity and access to showers and restrooms. Curry Village also offers a variety of dining with everything from home style breakfast and dinner buffets, to coffee shops, pizza & beer.

Of course the main reason you go is the beautiful and jaw dropping scenery. Yosemite Park offers a variety of things to do including horseback riding, rafting, fishing, and of course hiking and world class rock climbing.

But to start off your adventure a visit to Glacier Point is a must. Incredible vistas & views of Yosemite valley are at your fingertips and shows you whats in store for your adventure. Make sure your cameras are fully charged to capture some of the same iconic shots that Ansel Adams made famous.

Then its time to plan your days exploring and hiking on the John Muir Trail. It offers several options on how many miles and the stress level you want on your hike, and they all include different sights and experiences. But to get the most out of your experience, it’s always best to start early and avoid the crowds. You can do a nice family outing and hike up the Mist Trail to and picnic by the Emerald Pool at Vernal Falls, or make it an adventurous trip and hike the John Muir all the way to Half Dome and cap off the day by topping out on Half Dome! Needless to say, there’s never a lack of things to see and do for the adventurer and the family at Yosemite National Park.
